On Twitter on April 22 came a rally call from David Allen Lambert.
David said “Rally call for all Genealogists and Family Historians – who is a ? It would be great if we could all be rallied with a hashtag other than Genealogy when there is something major going on in the field.”
I have seen the term Iceberg related to genealogy research a few times over the years. There was a poster put out by in 2009 by The California Genealogical Society and Library.
This week Lenore from The GenTraveling Site left a comment on one of my posts so I headed over to her site where I found her definition of an Iceberg Genealogy Researcher. (Follow the link)
Take a look at her description. Does it describe some of your genimates?
Thanks to Carmel Galvin for spotting this new term from Randy Seaver.
In a post on his blog Genea-musings Randy wrote “I may be an old geneasaurus, but these mailing lists and message boards are very valuable for many genealogists and family historians.”
We can deduce the meaning of Geneasaurus if we read Randy’s post.
In a post on Facebook on April 9, 2019 Lisa Vassallo when talking about the period between posting off a DNA kit and receiving the results, wrote “I think I have cantwaitcitis, an inability to be patient and wait”.
