My friend, Chris, last week sent me some new genealogisms, some of which I will park for another day.

Most pertinent, as The 14th Australasian Congress on Genealogy and Heraldry was held in Canberra, Australia over the weekend was Congressitis for which Chris offers up this definition:

CONGRESSITIS: a need to gather with fellow historians/enthusiasts.

This is a malady from which I suffer as I am now counting the days until Congress 2018 in Sydney.

  1. Thank you for liking my post – I’ll enjoy learning from your site. My friend went to the conference, she lives in Canberra and has done a tremendous amount tracing her family history. I understand it’s addictive:)
